Cinderella Ball Gown from Disney's animated film
Debut: Katsucon 2015
Disney's Cinderella has long been a favorite fairy tale of mine, and I really wanted to make Cinderella's silver/white ball gown for Katsucon (since it's such a gorgeous location). I finally got all the materials together to make her and had a wonderful time floating around as a princess!
The dress is made using a very pale silver satin overlayed with silver glitter tulle for the sparkles. The shoulder puffs and peplum poofs are made using a double layer of sheer white voile. I bought clear vinyl slippers and coated them with clear glitter to make a more frosted glass look, then affixed clear glittered heart cabochons to match the movie. I also made opera length gloves from a matte stretch fabric. The wig was my first time styling a French Twist and it turned out very nicely! The dress is worn over 3 petticoats for shape.
I am so very pleased with this dress and can't wait to get more magical princess pictures!
