Minerva - Assassin's Creed

Debut: Katsucon 2013

Cost of materials: $100

I really didn't like too many of the female costumes from the AC games, but Minerva and the designs of the other "gods" always fascinated me. As a Minerva/Athena fan in general, I chose to make Minerva's costume for our Katsucon AC group.

I decided to use a striped grey silk chiffon to emulate the hologram lines, since Minerva is covered in them, and I really like the added visual interest they give the whole costume. The collar is made from vinyl-covered craft foam, and the helmet is made from Sintra and craft foam. The medallion and knot are made from insulation foam and a ribbon spool, respectively. I used my sandals from my Ismaire costume and painted the gold to silver.

Overall, this was a fairly simple costume, except for the helmet, and I had a lot of fun making it!
