The costume is so simple, so I wanted to make sure I got everything as accurate as I could. I already owned the shoes, so I set about making everything else. The black and grey striped stockings were purchased from Sock Dreams (a birthday present from Kurzeshaar). It's interesting because they are thigh high cotton knit toe stockings...I just find that fascinating (call me dorky if you want). The bloomers are white muslin with elastic waist and leg bands. The dress is blue cotton with a white cotton Peter Pan collar and a white cotton ruffle along the skirt hem. I'm also making a fluffy white petticoat to give the skirt that bell shape.

I have the black fleece I'm going to use to make Socrates - I will just need to make some eyes for him, probably out of plastic and hot glue. Then I will just need to purchase a blonde wig and extra wig hair for parting and ponytailing.
